Phoenix Community Housing was created in 2007, their approach (according to them) empowers tenants and leaseholders to take a central role in decision-making and they have more than 3,600 shareholding members. Both their Chair and Vice Chair are Phoenix tenants and residents form the largest group on our Board. Phoenix Community Housing has been named among the UK's Top 10 landlords on consecutive occasions and are proud to have received Investors in People Gold accreditation. Phoenix Community Housing projects include a £4million Lottery-funded restoration of a 1920s pub in Bellingham into a new cultural venue and they are now building more new homes thanks to £60million investment from the Pension Insurance Corporation.
